Simon Beeston

Managing Director

Simon is a highly-experienced construction professional and hands-on leader, bringing decades of operational delivery expertise to his role as Managing Director.

He began his career in the mechanical services sector, managing large scale commercial heating plant installations, plumbing and heating works and complex service programmes across public and private sectors.

Over the years, he’s gained extensive experience in traditional construction and modular delivery, giving him a strong technical foundation and a pragmatic, solutions focused approach.

Having progressed from engineering and operational roles into directorship, Simon remains closely connected to the detail of project delivery with particular strengths in cost management, programme control and driving high performance standards across teams. He is often at the forefront of client discussions, providing specialist advice and guidance that adds real value at every stage of a project.

Simon is known for his energy, work ethic and dedication to delivering exceptional results. He sets high standards not just for himself, but for the teams he leads and is passionate about building a collaborative “one team” culture where people take pride in their work and enjoy what they do.

At Volumec, Simon’s focus is on ensuring the business continues to deliver safe, high-quality projects with absolute reliability while fostering strong, trust-based relationships with clients, colleagues and delivery partners.

Away from work

A dedicated family man, Simon can often be found on the sidelines of local football matches at weekends firmly in the role of supportive spectator rather than player! He also enjoys the occasional round of golf, though rumour has it that nine holes is usually plenty.
